Over 80% of online users who experience slow website performance never return to the website ever again.

Did you know you could be losing customers just because your website is taking too long to load?? Not only that but users who leave a website because it took too long to load are less likely to ever go back to your website again. What kind of impression is your website leaving on potential customers?

Last week I talked about how a poor design can negatively affect your website and potential customers. This week I want to get more technical and focus on something that plagues too many websites: Slow Loading Times.

A website is considered slow if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load.

You may have a well-designed website, but what happens when it takes forever to load? Guess what, your customers don’t see it! Once your website takes longer than 3 seconds to load, customers & potential customers will abandon your website and instead go to your competitors. How many customers have you lost this year just because of slow loading times?

Tip

Did you know your website loads at different speeds depending on the browser and if its a Desktop or Mobile device?

How do I find out what my loading speed is?
