Around five years ago I leaped into the world of websites and marketing. During our first pregnancy my wife was put onto bed rest early on. Being at home all day alone stuck to your bed can be quite lonely so she decided she wanted to start a blog. She knew I loved technology so she kindly asked that I create a website for her to blog on. Ignorant me, I told her "that would be super easy and I would have it done in no time at all"... WOW was I wrong.
My mind was lost a flurry of all of the information about websites. Search engine optimization, page speed, accessibility, security, page design the list just kept going on and on. But even though I was overwhelmed with this entire new world, I just couldn't stop researching.
5 years later, I have developed over 50 websites for businesses across Canada, I started my own web development business focused on helping businesses grow their online presence.
So Why Start a Blog?
This blog has been in the back of my mind for quite a long time. I spend hours each week researching, studying and practicing what makes the best websites. But I don't want to keep that information to myself. That is why I am starting this blog. I want to help equip businesses with the knowledge to understand what makes a great website and how to grow their online presence. To many times I meet people who know they need a better website but don't know where to get started. That is what this blog is about.
I also plan on writing content to help other developers and designers out there. As a website developer we have a duty to build the best for our clients, and I want to help equip other creators with the tools and resources to do so.
What to Expect?
Each week I will be releasing a simple blog post that will share key information on differing topics that have to do with your website and building an online presence.
